The Cypress Companies, privately owned companies headquartered in San Francisco, commenced business in 1985.

Cypress is active in the following segments within the equipment leasing industry:

• Cypress purchases secondary market equipment leasing transactions from institutional lessors.
  
  
• Cypress enters into sale/leaseback transactions on used equipment with end-users.
  
  
• Cypress purchases new equipment, which is placed into operating lease programs.

Acquisitions are made on behalf of Cypress managed investment programs and for Cypress' own account. Cypress also advises lessees and lessors with respect to end-of-lease negotiations and its executives serve as expert witnesses in litigation.
